Functional Capacity Assessments provide a thorough evaluation of a participant’s abilities to manage daily tasks such as personal care, mobility, household chores, and community participation. This assessment identifies strengths and areas for improvement, which serve as the foundation for developing a personalised care plan aimed at fostering skill-building and increased independence. It helps determine the level of support required to help participants achieve their NDIS goals while enhancing their ability to live independently.

Assistive Technology Assessments
Lifetime OT can assist in assessing and prescribing a range of assistive equipment designed to enhance daily living activities and improve functional capabilities. This includes from low-cost aids for personal care, to more complex assistive technology devices to increase independence, ensure participants receive the most appropriate tools to support their everyday tasks.
Wheelchair Assessments
Lifetime OT can help participants receive a wheelchair tailored to their specific physical needs. We evaluate comfort, mobility requirements, and daily usage to recommend the most suitable manual or powered wheelchair options to maximise their independence.
Home Modifications
Lifetime OT offers comprehensive Home Modification services to help participants create a safer, more accessible living environment. We assess and recommend minor and complex home modifications, such as the ramps and grab rails, and more extensive structural changes to accommodate wheelchair accessibility in kitchens and bathrooms. We work closely with contractors to ensure modifications meet the specific needs of individuals with disabilities or mobility challenges. These home adjustments improve safety and enhance participants’ ability to live independently.
